The Amazing Mousetrap Car

Sam had an assignment to make a car out of a mousetrap for her physics class this week. She and Eric had a wonderful bonding time making this car. All it took was the mousetrap, balloons, bic pens, eye hooks, string, hot glue, and patience (lots of patience).

Ethan is 12!

It is so hard to believe that my hefty 9 lb. 1 oz. newborn is now a skinny 74 lb. twelve year old. Ethan is such a fun, creative, cute boy. The whole family enjoys his presence and he makes us all a little happier.

Silly people!

The silly people who moved into our old house took down three trees in the backyard and all of the flowers in the front flower garden. It is hard to think of the bleeding heart, oriental poppy, and cranesbill geranium that were killed so silly people don't have to bend over and weed. Sillies!!!

Goodbye old house!

We moved out of our old house last week and into my parents' basement. We are building a new home and will hopefully be in the new house in 3-4 months.

We will miss our old house and we took lots of pictures. The only one I'm putting out here is the back yard in total shade. What great trees we had!

The Lot!

These are pictures of the lot we bought last year. We'll be putting our house up for sale this month and start the building process once we've sold it. The first picture is from the front and the last two are from the back. We're planning on a two story home with a huge front porch which will of course have a swing!

We're very excited, but we'll miss our wonderful neighbors!

Connor is five!

My baby is five. Time has flown by. Our family is moving on to another stage! Everyone will be in school next year. That is so weird.

The top picture is one of the best pictures taken of me. I love my hair and it doesn't involve my face.

The bottom picture shows how inept I am at painting. This is a typical result when I pick up a paint roller. Do not hire me to paint your house!

Connor's new glasses

Connor had to get new glasses last week because his prescription had changed and his other glasses were just too small. Aren't his new glasses handsome? He says he doesn't like the new ones and that they hurt his ears. Hopefully he will get used to the new ones or it's back to the optician to have some adjustments made.
